Navarro Panthers (Geronimo, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Giddings Buffaloes (Giddings, TX), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers (3-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Lago Vista (Lago Vista, TX). The Vikings come into the non-league challenge with a 3-11 record. In their last challenge, Lago Vista lost by Victoria West (Victoria, TX), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Buffaloes play the Thrall Tigers (Thrall, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 26. Giddings will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 9-1 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Taylor (Taylor, TX).
