The Hillcrest Panthers volleyball squad (Dallas, TX), was edged 2-1 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Lakeview Centennial Patriots (Garland, TX)

The Patriots (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Wylie (Wylie, TX). The Pirates enter the 6A Region II District 9 challenge with a 6-7 record. In their last challenge, Wylie was tipped by Keller (Keller, TX), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Panthers meet the Ranchview Wolves (Irving, TX) in a non-league test, on Friday, August 22. Hillcrest will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Wolves go into the test with a 0-2 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Sunnyvale (Sunnyvale, TX).
