Texas High School Volleyball - United over Long Creek

August 22, 2025: New Braunfels, TX 78130

Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the United Longhorns (Laredo, TX) and the host Long Creek Dragons (New Braunfels, TX), saw United's volleyball squad notch a victory over Long Creek by a score of 2-0.

The Longhorns (9-4) will now prepare for their contest against McAllen Memorial (McAllen, TX). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 12-0 record. In their last contest, McAllen Memorial beat Sharyland (Mission, TX), 3-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Dragons meet the Glenn Grizzlies (Leander, TX) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, August 23. Long Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Grizzlies enter the contest with a 5-4 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Weiss (Pflugerville, TX).
