In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Lyford Bulldogs volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Porter Cowboys.

The Bulldogs (5-8) will now prepare for their test against Skidmore-Tynan (Skidmore, TX). The Bobcats go into the non-league test with a 3-3 record. In their last test, Skidmore-Tynan achieved victory over IDEA Frontier College Prep (Brownsville, TX), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Cowboys now own a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to IDEA Frontier College Prep for a non-league test on Saturday, August 23. Porter will face a squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Lopez (Brownsville, TX). The record now stands at 1-5.
