McKinney Lions (McKinney, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Walnut Grove Wildcats (Prosper, TX), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Lions (9-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Plano West (Plano, TX). The Wolves come into the non-league challenge with a 7-1 record. In their last challenge, Plano West beat Celina (Celina, TX), 2-0, in a non-league test.
The Wildcats now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Amarillo for a non-league test on Friday, August 22. Walnut Grove will face a Sandies squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Wylie East (Wylie, TX). The Sandies record now stands at 9-3.
