North Carolina High School Volleyball - Sun Valley over Mountain Island Charter

August 22, 2025: Mt. Holly, NC 28120

Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) and the host Mountain Island Charter Raptors (Mt. Holly, NC), observed Sun Valley's volleyball team top Mountain Island Charter by a count of 2-0.

The Spartans (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Palisades (Charlotte, NC). The Pumas enter the non-league contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Palisades dropped by Butler (Matthews, NC), 3-1, in a non-league battle.

The Raptors now own a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Charlotte Latin for a non-league battle on Saturday, August 23. Mountain Island Charter will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Indian Land (Fort Mill, SC). The Hawks record now stands at 7-0.
