West Panthers (Salt Lake City, UT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they observed their volleyball team hold off the host Murray Spartans (Murray, UT), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Panthers (7-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Waterford (Sandy, UT). The Ravens enter the non-league challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Waterford nudged Rockwell (Eagle Mountain, UT), 3-0, in a non-league test.
The Spartans now own a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bonneville for a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 23. Murray will play a Lakers team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Granger (West Valley City, UT). The Lakers record now stands at 3-1.
