Texas High School Volleyball - Porter tips Nimitz

August 22, 2025: Porter, TX 77365

Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Porter Spartans (Porter, TX) and the visiting Nimitz Cougars (Houston, TX), observed Porter's volleyball team hold off Nimitz by a tally of 2-1.

The Spartans (10-6) will now prepare for their contest against Sweeny (Sweeny, TX). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 7-4 record. In their last challenge, Sweeny edged Freeman (Katy, TX), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cougars play the Tomas (Richmond, TX) in a non-league game, on Friday, August 22. Nimitz will attempt to advance on its 5-10 season record.
