In Tuesday's non-league battle, the visiting Providence Panthers soccer squad scored a close 2-1 triumph over the South Mecklenburg Sabres.
The Panthers (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC). The Pirates come into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record.
The Sabres (0-1) will now prepare for their battle against Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC). The Cavaliers come into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Cuthbertson was nudged by Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC), 6-2, in a non-league battle.
