The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Alhambra Bulldogs (Martinez, CA) and the visiting Pittsburg Pirates (Pittsburg, CA), saw Alhambra's volleyball squad nip Pittsburg by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Alhambra upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Pinole Valley (Pinole, CA) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Thursday, August 25. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Pinole Valley won 2-0 in their recent league bout against De Anza (El Sobrante, CA)

The Pirates now own a 0-1 record.
