Indiana High School Volleyball - Jay County tips Winchester Community

August 23, 2022: Portland, IN 47371

The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Jay County Patriots (Portland, IN) and the visiting Winchester Community Golden Falcons (Winchester, IN), observed Jay County's volleyball squad hold off Winchester Community by a margin of 3-2.

Next up, the Patriots battle the Fort Recovery Indians (Fort Recovery, OH) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, August 30. Jay County will attempt to better on its 1-3 season record.

With the loss, Winchester Community drops to 4-2 on the campaign. The Golden falcons host Frankton (Frankton, IN) to battle the Eagles in a non-league match on Saturday, August 27. The Eagles come into the match with a record of 5-0.

Match Summary

The Lady Falcons traveled to Portland, IN on Tuesday evening to face the Lady Patriots of Jay County. The gym was filled with a lot of emotion and passion. Unfortunately, the Lady Falcons came away with a 2-3 loss with the following scores: (18-25) (25-17) (25-20) (20-25) (11-15). The Lady Falcons are now 4-2 on the season and 1-0 in conference play. The Lady Falcons will be in action this Saturday, August 27th at the Cowan Invite in Muncie, IN.
