South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls (Harrisburg, NC), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Sabres confront the Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 29. South Mecklenburg will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record. The Warriors enter the challenge with a 4-0 record after their 7-0 non-league win over North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC).
The Ragin' Bulls now have a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cuthbertson for a non-league challenge on Monday, August 28. Hickory Ridge will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 1-1 non-league Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 0-0.
