In Wednesday's non-league battle, the host Sun Valley Spartans soccer squad scored a close 4-1 triumph over the Central Cabarrus Vikings.
The Spartans (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Palisades (Charlotte, NC). The Pumas come into the non-league battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Palisades by East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
The Vikings (0-2) will now prepare for their battle against East Rowan (Salisbury, NC). The Mustangs come into the South Piedmont 3A battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, East Rowan Central Davidson (Lexington, NC), 2-2, in a non-league battle.
