The crowd at Wednesday's league test between the Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights (Wheeling, WV) and the visiting Magnolia Blue Eagles (New Martinsville, WV), saw Wheeling Central Catholic's soccer squad triumph over Magnolia by a count of 6-1.
The Maroon Knights now hold a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Preston for a Big Ten test on Friday, August 25. Wheeling Central Catholic will meet a Knights squad coming off a 5-0 league loss to Trinity Christian (Morgantown, WV). The Knights record now stands at 2-1.
With the loss, Magnolia drops to 1-2 on the season. The Blue eagles host Monroe Central (Woodsfield, OH) to meet the Seminoles in a non-league test on Monday, August 28. The Seminoles come into the test with a record of 0-0.
