Georgia High School Softball - Pope can't hold off Lambert

The Lambert Longhorns softball team scored 2 runs and limited the host Pope Greyhounds to 1 in the Longhorns non-league triumph on Wednesday.
With the triumph, Lambert improves its record to 6-0 on the year. The Longhorns travel to Monroe Area (Monroe, GA) to clash with the Purple Hurricanes in a non-league game on Saturday, August 26. The Purple Hurricanes come into the game with a record of 3-6. Monroe Area won 3-2 in their recent non-league game against Bethlehem Christian Academy (Bethlehem, GA)
In their next game, the Greyhounds clash with the Alpharetta Raiders (Alpharetta, GA) in a 6A Region 7 game, on Thursday, August 24. Pope will attempt to improve on its 8-2 season record. The Raiders come into the game with a 3-2 record after their 3-2 league win over Roswell (Roswell, GA).
