The Natomas Nighthawks held off the host Mesa Verde Mavericks volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Nighthawks now have a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lindhurst for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 29.

The Mavericks (0-1) will now prepare for their test against Bear River (Grass Valley, CA). The Bruins enter the non-league test with a 11-1 record. In their last test, Bear River was nudged by Chico (Chico, CA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
