With the win, Monterey Trail upgrades its record to 3-0 on the year. The Mustangs host Laguna Creek (Elk Grove, CA) to play the Cardinals in a Metropolitan Conference bout on Wednesday, August 30. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 0-1.

The Huskies now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Laguna Creek for a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 29. Sheldon will play a Cardinals squad coming off a 1-1 non-league Cosumnes Oaks (Elk Grove, CA). The Cardinals record now stands at 0-1.
