The Asheville School (Independent) Blues walloped the host Hayesville Yellowjackets football team by a score of 49-7 in Friday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Blues face the Christ Church Episcopal Cavaliers (Greenville, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 30. Asheville School (Independent) will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 56-28 non-league loss to Hammond (Columbia, SC).
The Yellowjackets (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Andrews (Andrews, NC). The Wildcats enter the Smoky Mountain 1A challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Andrews bounced Rosman (Rosman, NC), 42-14, in a non-league challenge.
