The Elko Indians football squad scored 18 points and limited the visiting Douglas Tigers to 16 in the Indians non-league triumph on Friday.

The Indians now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Melba for a non-league test on Friday, August 30.

With the defeat, Douglas drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Tigers host Spring Creek (Spring Creek, NV) to meet the Spartans in a non-league test on Friday, August 30. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 0-2. Spring Creek lost 34-15 in their recent non-league test against Carson (Carson City, NV)
