North Carolina High School Football - Shelby winner over Kings Mountain

The Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) football knocked off the visiting Kings Mountain Mountaineers (Kings Mountain, NC), 32-16 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Golden Lions now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host A.C. Reynolds for a non-league outing on Friday, August 30. Shelby will clash with a Rockets squad coming off a 19-13 non-league loss to West Forsyth (Clemmons, NC). The Rockets record now stands at 0-1.

With the defeat, Kings Mountain drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Mountaineers host Cox Mill (Concord, NC) to clash with the Chargers in a non-league outing on Friday, August 30. The Chargers come into the outing with a record of 0-1. Cox Mill lost 49-7 in their recent non-league outing against Charlotte Christian (Charlotte, NC)
