Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Knightdale Knights (Knightdale, NC), 62-18 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Pinecrest improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Patriots host Overhills (Spring Lake, NC) to play the Jaguars in a non-league battle on Friday, August 30. The Jaguars go into the battle with a record of 1-0. Overhills won 20-13 in their recent non-league battle against South View (Hope Mills, NC)

The Knights now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to East Wake for a non-league battle on Friday, August 30. Knightdale will play a Warriors team coming off a 65-42 non-league loss to Southern Nash (Bailey, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 0-1.
