The South Border co-op [Wishek/Ashley] Mustangs football squad scored 64 points and limited the host Richardton-Taylor/Hebron Raiders to 18 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.
The Mustangs now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grant County co-op [Carson/Elgin-New Leipzig]/Flasher for a non-league test on Friday, August 30. South Border co-op [Wishek/Ashley] will meet a Storm squad coming off a 20-12 non-league loss to Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky] (Turtle Lake, ND). The Storm record now stands at 0-1.
With the defeat, Richardton-Taylor/Hebron drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to New Salem (New Salem, ND) to meet the Holsteins in a non-league test on Friday, August 30.
