The Wheatland Pirates (Wheatland, CA) football knocked off the visiting South Tahoe Vikings (South Lake Tahoe, CA), 26-8 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Pirates now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ponderosa for a non-league outing on Thursday, August 29. Wheatland will clash with a Bruins squad coming off a 27-13 non-league loss to Twelve Bridges (Lincoln, CA). The Bruins record now stands at 0-1.

With the defeat, South Tahoe drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Vikings host Lowry (Winnemucca, NV) to clash with the Buckaroos in a non-league outing on Saturday, September 7. The Buckaroos come into the outing with a record of 0-0.
