Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Spring Creek Spartans (Spring Creek, NV) and the host Cottonwood Colts (Salt Lake City, UT), saw Spring Creek's soccer squad knock off Cottonwood by a count of 3-1.

The Spartans (1-5) will now prepare for their battle against Battle Mountain (Battle Mountain, NV). The Longhorns enter the 3A Northern - East battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Battle Mountain by Fernley (Fernley, NV), 10-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Colts confront the Tooele Buffaloes (Tooele, UT) in a 4A Region 10 battle, on Monday, August 26. Cottonwood will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Buffaloes enter the battle with a 1-5 record after their 3-1 league loss to Stansbury (Stansbury Park, UT).
