Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Wheeling Park Patriots (Wheeling, WV) and the visiting North Allegheny Tigers (Wexford, PA), saw Wheeling Park's soccer squad hold off North Allegheny by a count of 2-1.
The Patriots (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Seneca Valley (Harmony, PA). The Raiders enter the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Seneca Valley tipped Mars (Mars, PA), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Tigers battle the North Catholic Trojans (Cranberry Township, PA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, August 24. North Allegheny will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
