The Woodland Cougars softball team scored 4 runs and held the host Covington-Douglas Wildcats to 3 in the Cougars non-league win on Friday.
The Cougars now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pawnee for a non-league battle on Tuesday, August 27. Woodland will encounter a Black Bears team coming off a 15-5 non-league loss to Okemah (Okemah, OK). The Black Bears record now stands at 3-10.
With the loss, Covington-Douglas moves to 3-5 on the season. The Wildcats host Glencoe (Glencoe, OK) to encounter the Panthers in a Class B battle on Friday, August 23. The Panthers come into the battle with a record of 2-5. Glencoe lost 14-0 in their recent non-league battle against Wellston (Wellston, OK)
