The Shiner Comanches (Shiner, TX) volleyball knocked off the visiting Brazos Cougars (Wallis, TX), 2-0 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Comanches now possess a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to Weimar for a 2A Region IV District 27 bout on Saturday, August 24. Shiner will clash with a Wildcats team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Rice Consolidated (Altair, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-7.

With the loss, Brazos drops to 3-15 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Gonzales (Gonzales, TX) to clash with the Apaches in a non-league bout on Friday, August 23. The Apaches come into the bout with a record of 0-7. Gonzales lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Schulenburg (Schulenburg, TX)
