Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Water Valley Wildcats (Water Valley, TX) and the host Buena Vista Longhorns (Imperial, TX), observed Water Valley's volleyball team top Buena Vista by a tally of 2-0.

The Wildcats (8-2) will now prepare for their contest against Hawley (Hawley, TX). The Bearcats enter the non-league contest with a 4-6 record. In their last contest, Hawley beat Idalou (Idalou, TX), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Longhorns meet the Benjamin Mustangs (Benjamin, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, August 23. Buena Vista will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Mustangs enter the contest with a 8-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Comanche (Comanche, TX).
