In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting Greensboro Day School Bengals volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Phoenix Academy Firebirds.

The Bengals (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Wesleyan Christian Academy (High Point, NC). The Trojans come into the NCISAA Piedmont Triad Athletic challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Wesleyan Christian Academy beat Caldwell Academy (Greensboro, NC), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Firebirds play the Winston-Salem Christian Lions (Winston-Salem, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, August 26. Phoenix Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Burlington Christian Academy (Burlington, NC).
