In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting Greenwood Rangers volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Vernon Lions.
The Rangers (7-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Nocona (Nocona, TX). The Indians enter the non-league challenge with a 5-4 record. In their last challenge, Nocona beat Millsap (Millsap, TX), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Lions meet the Peaster Greyhounds (Peaster, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 23. Vernon will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Greyhounds enter the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Eagle Mountain (Fort Worth, TX).
