In Friday's non-league challenge, the host San Angelo Central Bobcats volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Lubbock Westerners.
The Bobcats (11-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Cedar Hill (Cedar Hill, TX). The Longhorns come into the non-league challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Cedar Hill lost by Little Elm (Little Elm, TX), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Westerners play the Jefferson Silver Foxes (El Paso, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 24. Lubbock will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Silver Foxes come into the challenge with a 1-6 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Wink (Wink, TX).
