North Carolina High School Football - Butler prevails Olympic

August 23, 2025: Matthews, NC 28105

In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Butler Bulldogs football team scored a nice 32-14 win over the Olympic Trojans.

With the win, Butler improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Corvian Community (Charlotte, NC) to play the Cardinals in a non-league battle on Friday, August 29. The Cardinals go into the battle with a record of 1-0. Corvian Community won 58-14 in their recent non-league battle against Harding University (Charlotte, NC)

The Trojans now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Palisades for a non-league match on Friday, August 29. Olympic will meet a Pumas squad coming off a 35-2 non-league win over Berry (Charlotte, NC). The Pumas record now stands at 1-0.
