Maryland High School Football - Hewlett Sports Academy holds off Varsity Opponent

The Hewlett Sports Academy Eagles (Waldorf, MD) football tipped the visiting Varsity Opponent (, ), 16-14 in Saturday's non-league outing.

The Eagles now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Frances Academy Regional for a contest on Friday, August 29. Hewlett Sports Academy will battle a squad coming off a 12-6 league loss to Loudoun Sports Academy (Leesburg, VA). The record now stands at 0-1.

Coming up next, the battle the Magnolia Wildcats (Terry, MS) in a Mid-South Christian (8 Man) bout, on Saturday, August 23. Varsity Opponent will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 51-19 league loss to SAHE (Brandon, MS).
