The crowd at Saturday's non-league contest between the Sharon Tigers (Sharon, PA) and the visiting Mercyhurst Prep Lakers (Erie, PA), witnessed Sharon's football squad knock off Mercyhurst Prep by a tally of 35-6.

The Tigers (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Cathedral Prep (Erie, PA). The Ramblers enter the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Cathedral Prep thwarted Erie (Erie, PA), 43-37, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Lakers confront the Oil City Oilers (Oil City, PA) in a non-league battle, on Friday, August 29. Mercyhurst Prep will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Oilers go into the battle with a 1-0 record after their 50-14 non-league win over Harbor Creek (Harborcreek, PA).
