California High School Flag Football - Merced loses to McClatchy

McClatchy Lions (Sacramento, CA) boosters were content Saturday as they observed their flag football squad thwart the host Merced Bears (Merced, CA), 25-6 in a non-league match.

The Lions (2-0) will now prepare for their match against McNair (Stockton, CA). The Eagles come into the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, McNair defeated Argonaut (Jackson, CA), 53-7, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Bears confront the Escalon Cougars (Escalon, CA) in a non-league match, on Saturday, August 23. Merced will attempt to upgrade on its 5-1 season record. The Cougars come into the match with a 1-0 record after their 40-0 non-league win over Gustine (Gustine, CA).
