The Shelbyville Golden Bears triumphed over the host New Castle Trojans soccer squad by a score of 5-1 in Saturday's league bout.
The Golden Bears now possess a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Lawrence Central for a non-league bout on Thursday, August 28. Shelbyville will play a Bears squad coming off a 4-0 non-league win over Southport (Indianapolis, IN). The Bears record now stands at 3-1.
With the loss, New Castle moves to 1-1 on the year. The Trojans travel to Franklin County (Brookville, IN) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 26. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 4-0. Franklin County won 9-0 in their recent league bout against Rushville (Rushville, IN)
