The Grove City Eagles edged the host Mercer Mustangs soccer squad by a margin of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Eagles now hold a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Sharpsville for a non-league bout on Wednesday, August 27. Grove City will encounter a Blue Devils squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Neshannock (New Castle, PA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 0-1.
With the defeat, Mercer drops to 1-1 on the season. The Mustangs host Karns City (Karns City, PA) to face the Gremlins in a non-league contest on Monday, August 25. The Gremlins enter the contest with a record of 0-0.
