North Carolina High School Soccer - Laney nudges Northwest Guilford

In Saturday's non-league outing, the visiting Laney Buccaneers soccer squad scored a tight 1-0 win over the Northwest Guilford Vikings.
The Buccaneers (3-1) will now prepare for their outing against Croatan (Newport, NC). The Cougars enter the non-league outing with a 0-3 record. In their last outing, Croatan was edged by John Paul II Catholic (Greenville, NC), 4-1, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Vikings confront the Mount Tabor Spartans (Winston-Salem, NC) in a non-league test, on Monday, August 25. Northwest Guilford will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record. The Spartans come into the test with a 2-0 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Cape Fear Academy (Wilmington, NC).
