In Saturday's league test, the Oklahoma Union Cougars (South Coffeyville, OK) softball squad overwhelmed the host Afton Eagles (Afton, OK), by a tally of 15-7.
Next, the Cougars clash with the Ketchum Warriors (Ketchum, OK) in a 2A test, on Tuesday, August 26. Oklahoma Union will attempt to advance on its 4-8 season record. The Warriors enter the contest with a 1-5 record after their 14-6 league loss to Chouteau-Mazie (Chouteau, OK).
The Eagles now hold a 0-8 record. They play next when they travel to Wyandotte for a 2A contest on Monday, August 25. Afton will face a Bears squad coming off a 16-1 non-league loss to Pryor (Pryor, OK). The Bears record now stands at 8-3.
