Colorado High School Softball - Fort Collins bounces Mead

August 23, 2025: Longmont, CO 80504

The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Fort Collins Lambkins (Fort Collins, CO) and the host Mead Mavericks (Longmont, CO), observed Fort Collins's softball team notch a victory over Mead by a final score of 13-2.

The Lambkins (3-2) will now prepare for their bout against Rocky Mountain (Fort Collins, CO). The Lobos go into the 5A/4A Northern bout with a 1-3 record. In their last bout, Rocky Mountain was routed by Riverdale Ridge (Thornton, CO), 10-0, in a non-league game.

The Mavericks now hold a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Monarch for a 5A/4A/3A Granite Peaks game on Tuesday, August 26. Mead will battle a Coyotes team coming off a 14-6 non-league loss to Westminster (Westminster, CO). The Coyotes record now stands at 1-4.
