Nebraska High School Softball - Freeman gets by Polk County

August 23, 2025: Adams, NE 68301

In Saturday's non-league match, the host Freeman Falcons softball team scored a tight 7-6 victory over the Polk County Slammers.

The Falcons (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Guardian Angels Central Catholic (West Point, NE). The Bluejays go into the non-league match with a 2-2 record. In their last match, Guardian Angels Central Catholic tipped Southern/Diller-Odell (Wymore, NE), 11-0, in a non-league match.

Next up, the Slammers play the Central City Bison (Central City, NE) in a C District game, on Tuesday, August 26. Polk County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Bison enter the game with a 1-0 record after their 9-1 non-league win over Boone Central (Albion, NE).
