The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Laurel Christian Lions (Laurel, MS) and the host Newton County Academy Generals (Decatur, MS), observed Laurel Christian's softball team get by Newton County Academy by a final score of 4-0.

The Lions (12-3) will now prepare for their bout against Sylva Bay Academy (Bay Springs, MS). The Saints go into the bout with a 1-1 record. In their last bout, Sylva Bay Academy tipped Meridian HomeSchool (Meridian, MS), 11-9, in a non-league bout.
