Nebraska High School Softball - Polk County sneaks past Raymond Central

August 23, 2025: Raymond, NE 68428

The Polk County Slammers softball team scored 5 runs and restricted the host Raymond Central Mustangs to 4 in the Slammers non-league victory on Saturday.

Next, the Slammers meet the Central City Bison (Central City, NE) in a C District challenge, on Tuesday, August 26. Polk County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Bison go into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 9-1 non-league win over Boone Central (Albion, NE).

The Mustangs (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Syracuse (Syracuse, NE). The Rockets come into the non-league outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Syracuse was tipped by Platteview (Springfield, NE), 8-0, in a non-league outing.
