Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Springfield Spartans (Akron, OH) and the visiting Aquinas Knights (Louisville, OH), observed Springfield's volleyball team top Aquinas by a tally of 2-0.

The Spartans (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against East Canton (East Canton, OH). The Hornets enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record.

Next, the Knights meet the Mogadore Wildcats (Mogadore, OH) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, August 26. Aquinas will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Wildcats go into the test with a 3-0 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Crestwood (Mantua, OH).
