The Brooke Bruins volleyball squad (Wellsburg, WV), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league contest with the host Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV)
The Knights (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against John Marshall (Glen Dale, WV). The Monarchs enter the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, John Marshall was tipped by Oak Glen (New Cumberland, WV), 2-0, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Bruins battle the Buckeye Local Panthers (Rayland, OH) in a non-league contest, on Monday, August 25. Brooke will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Panthers go into the battle with a 0-2 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Indian Creek (Wintersville, OH).
