In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Jellico Blue Devils volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Buckhorn Wildcats.

The Blue Devils (4-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Barbourville (Barbourville, KY). The Tigers enter the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Barbourville got by Lynn Camp (Corbin, KY), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats meet the Leslie County Eagles (Hyden, KY) in a District 54 challenge, on Monday, August 25. Buckhorn will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 7-0 record after their 2-0 league win over Hazard (Hazard, KY).
