Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Mount Vernon Mustangs (Atlanta, GA) and the host Cambridge Bears (Milton, GA), observed Mount Vernon's volleyball team hold off Cambridge by a count of 2-1.

The Mustangs (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Gainesville (Gainesville, GA). The Red Elephants enter the non-league contest with a 10-3 record. In their last contest, Gainesville tipped Roswell (Roswell, GA), 3-0, in a league test.

The Bears now own a 2-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lassiter for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 26. Cambridge will face a Trojans squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Kell (Marietta, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 3-9.
