In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary Cardinals volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Maywood Academy Nighthawks.

The Cardinals (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Artesia (Lakewood, CA). The Pioneers enter the non-league challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Artesia beat Mayfair (Lakewood, CA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Nighthawks meet the Robert F. Kennedy Community Bobcats (Los Angeles, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, August 25. Maywood Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Larchmont Charter (West Hollywood, CA).
