James F. Byrnes Rebels (Duncan, SC) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Catawba Ridge Copperheads (Fort Mill, SC), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Rebels (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Ashley Ridge (Summerville, SC). The Swamp Foxes come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Ashley Ridge beat First Baptist School (Charleston, SC), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Copperheads meet the Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC) in a non-league test, on Saturday, August 23. Catawba Ridge will attempt to improve on its 5-5 season record. The Vikings go into the test with a 1-1 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Gray's Creek (Hope Mills, NC).
