The Lake Hornets volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Choctaw Central Warriors to 0 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Hornets now have a 8-3 record. They play next when they travel to Petal for a non-league outing on Saturday, August 23. Lake will play a Panthers team coming off a 3-2 league win over Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Choctaw Central drops to 11-3 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Northeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS) to play the Trojans in a non-league outing on Saturday, August 23. The Trojans go into the game with a record of 5-9. Northeast Lauderdale lost 3-0 in their recent non-league game against Neshoba Central (Philadelphia, MS)
